    Greetings to all of my supporters,

    Thank you! Those two words while truly heartfelt will never be able to convey my total appreciation for your efforts on my behalf in the 6th Senate District race. I am very proud of each and every one of you, with special thanks to my wife Lisa and immediate family Nicholas, Tiffany, Michael, Jessica, Christopher and Kim, as well as my campaign manger, Kat, and our great campaign team, including all of my family members and great friends, old and new. Over the past nine months I have had an opportunity to reconnect with family and friends, as well as establish many new friendships on the campaign trail.

    While we may have lost an election, we waged a great campaign that was made possible by your efforts, which allowed us to spread our message of change and to clearly demonstrate our commitment to our community.

    As each of you are aware, there are many issues that are facing the State of Delaware that will touch each of us and more importantly, our children, Delaware’s future! Education was my top priority, and I pledge to each of you that while I may not be in office, I will continue to be an advocate for the kids, teachers and our community.

    In closing, I would like to offer you some words of wisdom offered by a great President Theodore Roosevelt in a speech at the Sorbonne in April of 1910 and ask that each of you consider the wisdom in these words.

    The Man in the Arena
    "It is not the critic who counts: not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself for a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat."
